History of Octoplex
Octoplex is a maze game published by Mastertronic in 1989 for the Amstrad CPC.
The great wizard Zolt has turned us into a subatomic mutant and imprisoned us in Octoplex, a gigantic complex at the molecular level. The only way to escape is to reach the central grid so that with our presence the structure goes out of control, ejecting us in a spectacular nuclear blast.

How to play Octoplex
To escape from the eight reticles that make up Octoplex, we have to generate a trail of electrons by travelling through each one completely before a time limit. Once this has been achieved, a subatomic crystal will be generated at a point on the map, which, when collected, will transfer us to the next level.
We will encounter creatures that will disintegrate us if they touch us or hit us with their shots. To defend ourselves from them we have an electric pulse generator with limited ammunition that we can recharge by collecting crystals. Certain sections of the labyrinth have portals that can be traversed in different ways, it is up to us to find out how...
