Furillo Productions presents:
The doom of the pond - La Coza de la Poza
The history of the pond's coza
Bernard Valley, June of a dystopian 1980... Peter Parrish is a lonely and shady ex-manager of a service company on the decline. He is on his way to leave Arroyito and Pozolón, the two water turtles given to him by his nephews, to their fate. He intends to throw them into the village pond, where everyone abandons their pets, as long as he doesn't clean up and feed them... what Parrish doesn't know is that his life will change forever.
Default controls (redefined):
O / joystick left: left.
P / joystick right: right.
Q / joystick up: up.
A / joystick down: down.
SPACE / joystick shooting: select / shoot.
How to play the game of the pond game

"La coza de la poza" is an interactive text adventure of survival horror. Our version has chosen instead of the classic interaction by typing the text (type "search", "use", etc.) the interaction through a menu that is always available on screen (move with the keyboard and choose by shooting).
Main menu:
To move through the default menu, use Q, A and space to select.
Once you redefine the keys you will be able to use those keys. After playing with a joystick, if you return to the main menu you can also use the joystick to move or select options.
Menu Content:
KEYBOARD: start the game with the keyboard.
KEMPSTON, SINCLAIR: play with a joystick.
TROPHIES: go to the trophy room where you can see the captured monsters (the game will tell you the story of the monsters).
MESSAGES: see the folk wisdom messages found in the well. Note: if you play the English version they are mysterious photographs, so if you dare with English you have a different game to try!
KEY: see the current game key. Another day you can play if you type this key and you will recover the found messages and captured monsters and you will be able to start from the last auto save point of the game. Track: when you load the game another day, the messages that you have not yet
found can appear anywhere in the pool where messages normally appear.
(even in the same places where you found the ones you already have, so look hard).
REDEFINE: redefine the game keys.
The game control menu:
The game is controlled by an action menu, which offers the following options:
Search / Catch: search for items in your current location and add them to your inventory.
Give / Use: choose an item from your inventory and use it or give it to someone else.
Important! When you want to use or give something, go to the Give / Use inventory and, underneath the object
you want to give or use, if in the story screen where you are now it can be used, then a message will come up with the action you can take. If nothing is displayed under the item's name, then you cannot do anything with that item at that point in the story/place.
Eating / Drinking: eat or drink something from your inventory.
Music On / Off: set or remove background music from the game.
Go to / Action: go to another location or perform an action that is available at the current location.
See message: see the messages of folk wisdom that you have found so far by the
(in the English version you will see the pictures you have found so far by the pool).
See trophies: see the pool monsters you have captured so far.
Monster hunting: hunt monsters from the pool. This option appears in the menu later in the game.
Types of objects:
In the pool you can find three types of objects:
Which can be eaten (when you find them they will appear in the Eat/Drink inventory).
Which can be used or given (when you find them they will appear in the Give / Use inventory).
Weapons: will be used randomly in battles against monsters, when they attack you or you go hunting.
Life:
You have 255 energy/life points. Energy is lost in fights with monsters, or when you make a wrong choice in the story and die (in which case as long as you have energy you "resurrect" on the last screen where you made the mistake, penalising -20 energy points for resurrecting).
The game will last as long as you have energy/life, so you can die several times and keep playing. Check your remaining energy in the Eat / Drink menu, in the Give / Use menu or in the monster battles screen. Remember to eat from time to time to regain energy, don't be absent-minded.
Fighting (hunting monsters):
There are monsters everywhere in the pond! They will attack you randomly, but you can also decide when to attack them in the course of the story. During battles you can see how much energy the monster has left to be captured and how much energy you have left. Warning: if you lose all your energy while fighting, it's game over. You can run away when you are not interested in fighting because you are low on energy.
A monster is captured when its energy is zero and you get the skull to touch it. If the skull touches it but it has energy left, then it will run away and you won't capture it. At first it is difficult to beat the monsters, but everything will get easier as you find weapons around.
Important points:
- Even if you lose and return to the main menu, the monsters and messages you have already encountered are NOT lost. When you start the game you get them back.
- There are points in the game that save the game (the lighthouses), if you die and go back to the main menu, when you play again you will be asked if you want to start from the last save point.
