HISTORY OF KOBYASHI NARU

Kobayashi Naru or Kobyashi Naru (the title used on the packaging) on Amstrad CPC is an adventure / puzzle game in which you must pass different tests to achieve immortality. To achieve your goals, you must use the objects you find throughout the levels and solve all the puzzles you face. The game prompts you to click on icons corresponding to actions, such as swimming, throwing, activating, managing your inventory, and so on.

Divided into knowledge, wisdom and understanding sections, Kobyashi Naru's test must be completed to gain immortal status. Collect the necessary items from each in this adventure game.

HOW TO PLAY KOBYASHI NARU

The game offers images of each location and important objects, and a textual description of each location, but beyond this, the gameplay system is atypical of 80s adventure games, especially those originating from a cassette. A set of icons are displayed in the top half of the screen, which are selected to trigger movement, item manipulation, scene analysis (by selecting specific text words) and actions such as climbing, throwing and swimming.
