History of Action Force
Action Force is a space shooter published by Virgin Games in 1988 for the Amstrad CPC.
Cobra has launched a surprise attack on the island of Botsneda. In the chaos of the evacuation, classified information has been exposed in the easternmost sector. Enemy troops are tightening the siege and it is vital to recover the data before it falls into their hands. This is a job for the Action Force.
How to play Action Force
The command consists of a jeep, which must travel along the road until it reaches the end of the level, and the helicopter that we drive, which must clear the entire sector of traps, obstacles and enemies in its path. We have cannons, bombs and fuel that we can replenish in the area provided for this purpose, but we must be quick not to expose ourselves to enemy fire.
We must protect the jeep at all times and avoid shooting or crashing into it. In each scenario we will find cannons, barricades and energy towers to neutralise, as well as collapsed areas over which to build bridges so that our companions can continue to progress. Any impact against enemy defences or total loss of fuel will result in the failure of our mission.
