Developed and published in 1999 for promotional purposes for a whisky brand, the success achieved by Marco SOWA's CRAZY CHICKEN is a mystery whose secret only pop culture knows. The main idea: shoot all the chickens on the screen - it's stupid and disgusting, but it's good!
CYBER-CHICKEN should have been the subject of a sheet a long time ago, but its developers didn't seem to be in a hurry to offer it for free access. This is finally done. And the technical aspects are in the spotlight with a game that uses vertical overscan display, lots of options, quality music, and the amount of chickens that appear on the screen is impressive.
But that is not enough. The graphics are dull, lacking in variety and the incessant slowdowns interrupt the game. Interest in scoring is also limited because the high score tables do not distinguish the levels of the game. A novice who has shone at level 1 can outperform a veteran who did not perform badly at level 8. Unfortunately, if CYBER-CHICKEN has its place here because of its technical performance, its poor graphics and lack of variety will surely put it off.
