To do this we will have to make use of the software created by OverCLK for the creation of romsets (requires JAVA) which you will quickly be able to see that it is really easy and intuitive to use. Just add the game images, either SNA, DSK or CDT and it automatically converts them to the format used by Dandanator CPC.

How to program Dandanator CPC with a new ROM

To program the Dandanator CPC, first of all we have to install on our pc the rom creation software, which is available in different versions on the Dandare website. Once this is done, it is important to install the usb driver so that it detects our Dandanator when it is connected to the PC.

If we have already created the rom with the game compilation or we have selected one of the available roms, we only have to prepare ourselves to record again our Dandanator cartridge. To do this, it is necessary to connect the dandanator to the cpc and in the initial menu that shows us dandanator press the L key, then the cartridge enters recording mode.

Now on the PC we switch to programming mode in the software and if the com port is correctly selected, it will automatically start the recording process. Don't despair, it takes about 2 minutes and you can see a nice progress bar on the screen of your Amstrad CPC ?

If the burning process has been completed successfully, the Dandanator CPC cartridge restarts the computer, displaying the newly burned game catalogue. It's time to enjoy!
